The VillageThe land where Resora has taken root is one of southwest Georgia’s original, large plantations. At 1,638 acres, these gently rolling fields, orderly orchards, and moss-draped cypress stands have been inhabited by slaves and farmers, hunters and fishermen, and most recently, Boy Scouts and executives visiting a luxury retreat. The former plantation features an antebellum mansion, cabins, guest houses, and farm buildings alongside some of the most prized and productive farmland in the country. But the site is organized for a different time in history. It is a relic of the Old South in need of a fresh vision. |
